Two Lovers

lyrics

Two Lovers

Two lovers were sitting around one day
They were wondering what to do
It was one of them crappy weather days
The sky was grey instead of blue
Well the dog was tired and they were getting restles in the middle of the afternoon
He said maybe I’ll write a song, she said maybe I’ll listen to you
So he pick up his guitar and started to write
but as soon as he did that, his inspiration ran dry
So they put there heads together to try to think of somethin else
Not only just to entertain but to forget about themselves

Chorus:
They took drugs
They had sex

They took a long drive in the country and made promises that could never be kept
By lovers like them just simple folks who don’t need much
But lovers they’d always be as long as neither one became a crutch for the other

So the next day they went to work
Him to the station her to the store
Both thinkin about the good time they had the day before
They wished they could do that everyday
And that they didn’t have debts and bills o pay
Life should be free for the takin, with nothin but love to give
And they’d give it to each other and that’s how they decided to live

Chorus
